Hello,
I am so confuse about SIP trunk configuration,
I have a CUCM server with ip address 158.113.41.84 and the CME in srst mode with ip address: 158.113.41.80
SIP provider IP address is 172.20.254.252.
I need to configure SIP trunk for my CUCM server but the CME srst need also sip trunk due to the failover mode.
Can you help me please.
You can see the diagram in attached.

Hi Aristide,
Why do you want CUCM to connect directly to your provider? It is not recommended.
Ideally you should have a SIP trunk between CUCM and CME/CUBE, and between CME/CUBE and Service Provider. This will ensure that your service provider will send the calls always to CME.
SRST is only limited to phones registration when there is no WAN connectivity between CUCM and CME.
If you don't follow the above approach, where your service provider will send the calls viz to CUCM or CME or both?
Thanks

Thanks Vivek,
I think this it will be really the best approach.
I have another question. Does I have to configure dhcp for ip phones in CME or CUCM?

Hi,
Both platforms support DHCP server functionality however I would recommend to use DHCP server in router as at the time of troubleshooting, you will be having much more control on router platform rather than CUCM.
Thanks
