SIP Trunk - show sip-ua calls

Carl Ratcliffe

Hi Support Community

Im hoping someone can shed some light as to the output of show sip-ua calls. We are troubleshooting some voice quality we have had reported on the SIP trunk. When we do a show sip-ua calls when there are no calls active on the gateway we still see multiple entries like the below, the calling and called number are blank but the source is the CUBE loopback IP from were this output was taken and the destination is the CUCM servers. defined in the dial-peers.

Sometimes we just see 1 entry, sometimes 2 , sometimes 3 etc etc and they seem to come and go so im wondering if the CUBE is doing some sort of test to the CUCM servers ?

Hi Carl Ratcliffe,

what is the result of the following command:

show call active voice compact

Regards.

Hi Marcelo

Thanks for your response. I have input the command but the output is blank but at the same time the entries in the show sip-ua calls still exist.

Thanks, Carl Ratcliffe

Hi Carl Ratcliffe,

when you enter the 'show sip-ua' command is there any info about 'Options-Ping'?

What kind of devices are the Source (172.20.44.104) and Destination? IP Phones, CUCM, ...?

Regards.

Hi Marcello

The only details about options ping are as follows - Options-Ping    ENABLED:NO    ACTIVE:NO

The source is always the CUBE and the destination is always CUCM servers ( x 5 different servers )

You maybe onto something about the options though as although I cant see anything in the show sip-ua calls I was using debug ccsip messages and I caught the call flow for the call I was looking at but I also caught a message to a CUCM server which might be related to the show sip-ua calls except this time the from is the CUCM server and the To is the CUBE

Hi Carl, Did you get to this issue resolved? I have something very similar on an ISR4331 CUBE.

Cheers Kev
