Voice gateway migration from 3800 to 3900

Customer needs to migrate to 3800 to 3900 voice gateway with same configuration, We are using MGCP gateway. 

Please let me know the best practice to migrate the voice gateway.

Hi,

You will need to change the gateway configuration in CUCM. You will need to select the 3900 router model and then configure it for mgcp..

On the gateway itself, you can just configure the new gateway with the parameters of the old one. The only thing to look out for is the vwic ports which may have changed.
