ACS 5.5 Not Passing Login Prompt to NXOS Devices

All,

We've set a custom loging prompt under

System Administration > Configuration > Global System Options > TACACS+ Settings

On our IOS switches/routers, we are getting our custom login prompt sent, but the NXOS devices are not receiving this same prompt. I've tried with telnet, and ssh, but the result is the same.

Does anyone know what may be causing this?

Hello James,

When you have authentication problems, you can perform a connectivity test to check for connectivity issues. You can enter the hostname or the IP address of the network device that you are trying to connect with and execute the following commands from the web interface: ping , traceroute , and nslookup .
