API to register endpoint

Hi,

We are setting up an API to import MAC addresses from SCCM to ISE, this is working well. But our issue is that what ever value we are entering for what group the MAC address should belongs to, it's registered into group "Registered devices". We want to use the API to import the MAC addresses into group "PXEboot".

The documentation is saying:
"Register Endpoints You can use this API call to register endpoints in Cisco ISE. The endpoint is created if it doesn’t already exist. Similar to the GUI registration flow, the endpoint is statically assigned to the Registered Devices group and portal user and identity store will be set as specified in the content."

Is it really like this that when we use API that all endpoints will be registered in "Registered Devices", and that we can't decide in the API in what group that endpoints should be imported to?

Are you sure you are sending the correct info in your XML?, be aware that group id is not the name, but the id number of that group. Maybe show us your xml.

However for creating a mac address in an endpoint group in ISE, i would just use the create endpoint function in the API instead.
