Upgrading software can be an exciting and necessary endeavour, promising enhanced features, improved performance, and increased security. However, it is not without its challenges. Users have been discussing in the Community on questions and issues they had when upgrading to ISE version 3.2. We have handpicked some of the discussions and want to highlight them here.

  1. The user has upgraded their ISE from 3.1 to 3.2 and encountered a problem with credential scan using ACAS and a domain user account.
    >View discussion

  2. The user encountered an error "Previous upgrade is in progress for the deployment…" preventing them from upgrading to 3.2, despite having already completed a patch upgrade in the previous version.
    >View discussion

  3. The user is running ISE 3.0 and seeks opinions on whether to upgrade to ISE 3.1 or 3.2.
    >View discussion

  4. The user attempted to upgrade their Cisco ISE from version 2.7 to 3.2 by deploying an OVA to a new VM and then restoring the configuration and importing certificates. However, after the upgrade, they were unable to login and the services were restarting in a loop.

  5. The user is trying to upgrade a single node ISE 3.0 to ISE 3.2, but the preparation fails at "Configuration at Data Upgrade".

Hope you find these useful.

Hi @Amin Shahabuddin

There are some great links in that discussion- thanks. Having this knowledge ahead of time might save a few calls to TAC

There is another thread going on right now discussing the Stability of ISE 3.2 and there are some additional issues that users have walked into.

Please keep adding more links to your discussion.

Hey @Arne Bier! Thanks for your comment! Added that discussion into the post.
