Hi Team,

anted to know the your inouts on the following EOL Switches with ISE 2.1 Integration. The compatibility matrix of Cisco ISE 2.1 doesn't have these switches as they are end of life.

Is it possible to install a new code on these switches and make them compatible with Cisco ISE v2.1?

Per detailed response to separate posting, your final ask was regarding the upgradability of these switches, not compatibility.  As noted on separate post, switches will not be listed if EOL, but does not meet the switches and versions will not work.  As noted, older compatibility tables that were written when these switches were still current can be used as a guide in terms of features supported and recommended versions.  There is a risk in deploying any EOL product since no software fixes will be expected IF there was to be an issue.

Regarding upgradability, that is a separate discussion for the switch team.  I expect all of these models can be upgraded to more current software, but this would not be the correct community to answer these questions.  For most it will be a question of support for current 12.2.55SE release, or in some cases 12.2.52 if .55 not available.  Also, LAN Lite has very limited support for RADIUS features.  Switches like 3550 should not even be considered any more for access layer use.

Look back at earlier versions of ISE, some of these switches or IOS versions may be listed as compatible. These should still be compatible with the same features in 2.1.

No new features will be added to switched once they go EoL.

Hi Craig,

Thanks for the inputs. Partner wants a confirmation from Cisco that the recommended IOS v 12.2(33)-SXJ5 or v12.2(33)SXI6 for these 6513 switches can support Profiling, BYOD, MDM, Guest, Posture...Can you please suggest.

Recommended versions as well as tested features are listed in current Compatibility charts.   The best indication for older switch products/versions is what was provided in Compatibility charts for older ISE releases.  There is no plan to retro-test EOL switches or software versions known to have issues with current ISE.  What issues?  You would need to review release notes for specific resolved bug defects to determine that.

Whether recommended version or otherwise, I recommend you or customer test that required features are working to satisfaction.
