ISE 2.1 shutdown issues

I've installed the virtual build on several hosts (including UCS) and I have a hard time getting it to cleanly poweroff.  As soon as the halt command is issued I get a blinking cursor in the upper left and it hangs there.  I've given it hours before.  Is this just me?

Are you able to stop ISE services before halt?

stopping the services manually before halting helped.  I'll mark it as answered.

ISE 2.0 doesn't exhibit this behavior.
