MDM with Wireless MAB/Open SSID

Does anyone know if ISE can authorize MDM based on non-802.1x WLANs?  Is dot1x a necessity for MDM-based authorization?

Think that I may have figured it out.  Since we're gathering the MDM registered endpoints via API, the full database is available, so authentication type doesn't matter...
