Migration from standalone to fully distributed deployment

Hi Team,

Do we have a step-by-step migration guide from a standalone to a fully distributed deployment model?

How can we separate Admin and Mnt personas if we want to keep the existing logs?

Do I see it correctly that we should separate the Admin personas from the Admin/Mnt nodes?

Thank you!

Best regards, Gyorgy

Hi,

We have information about distributed deployments in the administrator guide Cisco Identity Services Engine Administrator Guide, Release 2.1 - Set Up Cisco ISE in a Distributed Environment [Cisco ….  If you want to retain the operational data (MnT logs) during the process of going from standalone to distributed, you can take an operational backup of the standalone node and restore it to the new MnT node as you build out the distributed deployment.  Hope that helps.
