ASA 5506-X ASDM Performance

Just setup a new 5506-X with FirePOWER and have noticed performance issues as it relates to the ASDM. Using ASDM to manage the ASA parts runs fine and is fast, Touching any tabs for the Sourcefire pieces is extremely slow and at times unresponsive. I am running the latest ASDM 7.42 and asa 9.41 code. Also noticed while in the ASDM java is using 30-50% of the cpu alone. Running java 1.8.45, also tried downgrading java with no change.

Also am seeing similar behavior on another ASA 5506-X with ASDM running on Windows 10.

Doing a recover on the sfr module takes awhile (1 hour+ maybe) .....

Has anyone run into this?

For those with 5506's what are your thoughts so far.

Discovered a fix for the high CPU/Java issue when using ASDM.

(Assumes running on a Windows Desktop)

1. Close ASDM

2. Delete the .asdm folder in "C:\Users\<Username>\.asdm"

3. Restart ASDM.

Still seeing a buggy behavior when doing anything FirePower through ASDM but without the high CPU.

Also, imported certs for ASA and Sourcefire didn't help.
