I’m having an issue where I can’t reach one of the outside interfaces on the ASA.
I keep getting in the logs
Failed to locate egress interface for ICMP from outside2.
Here is the high-level topology.
2 outside interfaces
1 called outside1 (the one I can’t reach) g1/1
2 called outside2 (this one I can reach no problem) g1/2
No nating or vpn just routing.
active/standby
Both interfaces are members of the outside zone.
Default route is only present on g1/2
All traffic enters via g1/2 (outside2) as this is the primary path in and out.
This could be due to the design but I wanted to ask the experts.
