Hi Team

We need to manage the firewall in different geographical location with the management server(FMC) in our DC.

My questioned are : -

1) what is the acceptable latency in ms is accepted to manage the appliance and pushing the policies ?

2) If we have 300 ms of Latency then will it be a okey ?

3) If we want to upgrade the appliances from DC will it okey with 300 ms of latency ?

Thanks

JM

There's no documented latency specification as far as I know. As long as there is reliable tcp communications between the FMC and the managed sensors it should work.

Cisco does recommend bandwidth be at least 256 kbps.

There is an option (since 6.2) when deploying upgrades to first push the upgrade file to the remote sensor and then later perform the actual upgrade.
