Internet stops working randomly

Hi,

We are using a ASA 5512.Inside there are not more than 20 odd hosts.

This is lying at remote office and is managed remotely via ssh if required.

We are using 9.1(3) firmware.

Around 4 months backthere was one incedent  internet stopped working after slow browsing and outside interface failed to respond the ping and ssh as well .Plugging the ISP cable directly to one of   host with public ip ensured that internet had no issues.

Asked local guy over there to reboot the ASA and it worked for us.

Assumed if this must be duplexing issue to changed the duplex on outside interface from auto to full.

All went well so far and same incident reported today. No logging or syslog we are using presently.

Any suggestions to resolve it.

Regards,

Sushil

Hi,

When issue occurs, you need to check the cpu utilization, resource usage and asp drops in asa to find out what was causing the issue.... So far these are my answers by guess..... but actual problem can be identified if we able to see the captured logs....

Karthik
