We're thrilled to announce the introduction of Precision Time Protocol (PTP) support on the C9200CX series, starting with IOS 17.14. PTP ensures precise clock synchronization across networked devices, opening doors to a range of PTP-related applications, particularly suited for environments requiring compact, fan-less switches.

Another great addition to this release is a game-changing enhancement to IP SLA probe functionality. Formerly, modifying an active probe during runtime resulted in errors. But now, with the introduction of the 'config replace' command, users can seamlessly adjust probe parameters while the session is active. This not only streamlines network management but also ensures uninterrupted monitoring and troubleshooting, empowering users to optimize network performance with ease.

Through Grafana, users can easily track and compare energy consumption over time, empowering them to make informed decisions and optimize their network's sustainability footprint.

Previously, gNMI's SUBSCRIBE operation only supported Sample and some On-Change models. Now, it also supports On-Change STREAM, aligning it with NETCONF and gRPC for better compatibility. Additionally, we've introduced gNMI sync_response, which lets clients know when all existing subscription data has been sent at least once. Lastly, our YANG model advancements can benefit various applications, including API cloud controllers, wired controllers, and direct device interactions.

Upgrade to IOS-XE 17.14.1 now to unlock the power of Catalyst 9000 Switching!
