Hi, currently we are facing an issue with a newly deployed CUBE (based on c8000v) with multi-vrf, incoming dial-peer matching by match on the VIA Header, dial-peer groups  and SIP/TLS. For incoming calls, CUBE is not able to match the correct incoming dial-peer. As soon as we remove multi-vrf from the picture, calls begin to work correctly. We are running IOS Vers. 17.9.3a on the c8000v. We also have a TAC case open for this issue, but no resolution so far.
Are there any known issues with CUBE and the above mentioned Features?

Kind Regards,

Robert

Hi Robert,

Have not observed any known issues for such setup on 17.9.3a IOS version.

I assume you would have already gone through the below reference link for Multi-vrf on CUBE. If not, kindly refer below :

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/ios-xml/ios/voice/cube/configuration/cube-book/voi-cube-multi-vrf.html

You can check if the incoming dial-peer configured has correct interface bindings as its must with Multi-VRF setup.

Also reload the CUBE if there were any changes made to the VRF configurations or reload was missed after VRF configuration.

Hi Seemaant, thanks for your reply.
Yes i have gone through the mentioned document and the CUBE was reloaded after the vrf config was changed.

Hello Robert,

There have been a couple of bugs identified similar to the issue you reported, when using via header ip to match incoming dial peer

e.g.
https://bst.cloudapps.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCvi06897

But this is pretty old bug and I see you are using 17.9.3a

You can also refer to below document, which explains inbound dial-peer matching with VRF
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/voice/ip-telephony-voice-over-ip-voip/211306-In-Depth-Explanation-of-Cisco-IOS-and-IO.html#toc-hId-79407056

Hi Abhishek, thanks for your reply.

yes, i am aware of the old bug and the mentioned document (btw. very helpful doc).

I am afraid that i have to wait for any findings from TAC.

Hi Robert,

Will you be willing to share debug logs and running-config for quick review.

debug ccsip all

debug voice ccapi inout

-Abhishek

Hi Abhishek,

i am not allowed to share this kind of information in a public forum. I will send you the TAC SR# 1:1, there you will find all the information.

/Robert

Hello Robert,

I checked the logs and the configuration from the TAC case provided.

Configuration looks to be good.

The binding is set on tenant. Though it should work, but can you try to apply binding on dial-peer 1001, instead of tenant and check once.
It would be good to work with TAC to see if there is any new defect being hit and if required escalate with BU.
