These are not deep technical, but might give you some starting points:
- Given that your call center environment includes ACD and IVR, you could ask the candidate what similar technologies they have background with.
- Ask the candidate about their typical busy hour throughput, max agents, and IVR ports used, to get an idea of what scale they have been exposed to.
- The v9 upgrade will bring SQL 2008 and Windows 2008 64-bit R2 to the environment, and major new features such as Precision Routing and Congestion Control... you could ask about these or similar experience
