Upgrade or Migration CUCM on BE6000

Hello everyone,

I use the 10.5.1 version of CUCM on BE600.

I wish, add ip phones cp-8845  that are expensed as the 10.5.2 release.
I searched on www.cisco.com, and I saw that I can be a migration or an upgrade.

Question 1: What is the difference between you it there's a  CUCM migration and upgrade?

Question 2: In my case, it is the ideal solution to upgrade or migration?

Question 3: Can I have a step by step to run my solution ?

Thanks in advance

A migration usually refers to moving to a new VM or new HW, possibly upgrading in the process.

And upgrade is just using the same VM/HW and just changing the UC product version

For you, you should be fine with just an upgrade, you really should be able to tell this by what you're going to be doing.

If  you're upgrading, you need to read the RNs and upgrade guide for CUCM

This is a direct upgrade as it's just going from 10.5(1) to 10.5(2), the procedure is going to be just uploading the ISO and doing the upgrade.
