How to know which stable IOS version should I upgrade?

Dear All,

My manager asked me to upgrade IOS for all Cisco Router and Switch.

But I don't know which IOS version should I upgrade.

So, how can I find the stable one to upgrade? Does Cisco have any recommendation tool or document?

When you go to CCO to download code for a platform, they usually provide suggested releases. They are designated with a star indicating the Cisco suggested release based on software quality, stability and longevity. That and it provides a link to the software research tool.
