Looking to find out if Cisco has any recommendation for changing from multiple /23 subnets to a "Single VLAN" with larger subnets.

I do not see any issue, we do deployed /22.

but bare in mind why suggested to more VLAN to segment network to separate the broadcast domain for better troubleshoot point of view.

If one effects other still work as expected. Larger broadcast domain have issue, you will have high failure rate.

Other than that i do not see why not ?

I don't recall reading any Cisco recommendations on the size of WLAN VLANs, but as they do not have the broadcast issues of Ethernet VLANs, you can usually go much larger than you should for a wired VLAN.

In my last job, we migrated regional WLANs (those on the same controller) from multiple location based networks, to a single functional network on a controller (i.e. we still had multiple WLANs VLANs, per controller, but only for function, e.g. corporate vs. guest). Believe we used at least a /22 (and possibly larger). We didn't have any WLAN issues after the conversions.
