802.1X with Docking Monitor

Hi,

I've read various threads on this topic but still un-clear how this is meant to work.   I have 802.1X deployed and working - some users are reporting problems when connected via an HP Docking Monitor.

The LAN switch (Cat9300) port stays UP/UP irrespective of whether there is a PC docked or not.  So I think what happens is, when a user connects to the docking monitor, the LAN switch doesn't initiate a Dot1X challenge and the users have to power cycle the monitor a lot of the time in order to successfully log on.  There doesn't appear to be a configuration option on the monitor to get it bring the LAN port Up/Down depending on the dock status.

The Cat9300 doesn't appear to have a device tracking command available either so am at a bit of a loss.

Any pointers, greatly appreciated.

As I know when config port with dot1x the SW start send dot1x request through any port is UP and not authc.

What the dot1x control direction you use ?
