I'm not a Cisco trained technician but i have a idea what to do when setting them up. But this one is throwing me for a loop. i received a Cisco 887 Router Part number: 341-0135-03 to add a new ISP's details.
Reset the router using the reset button on the back. connected the router to my PC directly with a standard RJ45 cat 5e lan cable and used the ip 10.10.10.5 for my PC and noticed that the network connection switches between identifying network and network cable unplugged on a loop. i have tried the Console port and all 4 lan ports. But yet no luck. I have reset the router again and the connection keeps dropping.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated
