Hi Community,

Iam creating Smart license in IOSXR with http

So I used "destination transport-method http" and also put the destination url.

When I do show run, i see "destination transport-method email disable" also in the configuration

-----

call-home
service active
contact smart-licensing
profile CiscoTAC-1
active
destination address http https://xxxxxx
destination transport-method email disable
destination transport-method http

------

What does this command do?

Is there need to remove it from the settings?

Thanks

Hello @okochat18

The comand destination transport-method email disable within the call j

home config specifically instructs the device to disable the email transport method for call home notifications/reports.

When configuring smart licensing with HTTP transport method (using destination transport-method http), it is common practice to disable unnecessary transport methods to streamline the configuration and reduce potential overhead.

Disabling the email transport method ensures that the device does not attempt to send call home notif via email.

Thanks for your quick response.

If I remove the command with the following, would it have effect on anything?

no destination transport-method email disable

@okochat18

This command is already disable.

Let this command in disable under call-hone configuration.

Best regards
