Hi

Is there any way design ASR + OTV Redundancy  by routing  instead EMM and bfd script ?

We have two router ASR and 2 ISP Link to redundancy.

So we now using EMM + bfd for control failover OTV link (active/standby) When Link ISP A down EMM action shutdown interface to down and script in router backup  will be enable interface to handle the traffic

Some cause EMM + BFD doesn't work such bfd monitor link down and up same time but EMM not running some command to complete

therefore link no switch failover to backup

I dont know if any way to using routing control OTV link redundancy active/standby ?

or you have any idea or suggestion to improve

what kind of links via internet or using MPLS or any other mode ?

how is your configuration looks like ?

we do have OTV deployment (but not using ASR, using nexus) - we follow below document and works for us.

https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/products/collateral/switches/nexus-7000-series-switches/guide_c07-728315.pdf

even i have tested CSR in Lab works as expected.

- We are using MPLS

now we do deployment OTV on ASR .  Core Switch allow vlan to ASR Router

I agree with you to change OTV on Nexus not ASR

Hello,

post the running configs of your ASR/OTV edge routers, a First Hop Redundancy Protocol (FHRP) such as HSRP (Hot Standby Router Protocol) or VRRP (Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol) might work...
