Our company has a plan to build a network between the ISPs and the internal networks. We may not be able to get public IPv4 and that makes IPv6 the possible choice or if the ISP can squeeze a block of IPv4 to us.
We decided to use ASR1K2-x and would like to know what software version we should go with. And on the IPv6 side what else do we need in order to interface the IPv4-based internal network? Do we need IPv6 capability on the routers that face the ISPs or IPv6 capability has to be on routers that face the ISPs and internal network? Where would the IPv4-IPv6 translation take place?
