Hello There

Witch Cisco rugged Series devices have capability to support flowing specs :

                                       1- min 3Gbps and min 0.25MPPS throughput

                                       2- support max 6 x 1G  ports

                                       3-support max 8  x 10/100 Ports

                                       4- support max 2  X  G.HSDSL Ports

                                       5-support max 2 X ADSl

                                       6- support max 2 X LTE

best Regards

Hello Javad,

it looks like difficult to satisfy all these requirements in a single device.

Last Cisco Industrial 1100 router supports 8 FE and two LTE modems. But the WAN option looks like to be only a GE SFP.

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/routers/1101-industrial-integrated-services-router/datasheet-c78-741709.html?dtid=osscdc000283

note: the wan module will be available in second half of 2019. one 10/100/100 or SFP GE is already present in base device.

Cisco 800 series industrial routers

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/routers/800-series-industrial-routers/index.html?dtid=osscdc000283

829-2LTE model supports dual LTE and four 10/100 FE with POE and one SFP port.

There is no support for G.HDSL or ADSL WAN modules

There is not support for 6 GE ports

And the performance cannot reach 3 Gbps for sure.

They have a serial Rs232 to connect to PLC or SCADA systems.

The 829 supports also WIFI has AP on it.

Hope to help

Giuseppe

Thanks for your helpful answer .

and  do you know which network brand , can support those spec ?

Alcatel can support ?

Hello Javad,

the customer specs are usually written with a specific vendor in mind.

However, there are some cases where the customer writes a wish list that can contain unfeasible requirements.

To make an example I have seen a request for:

a PE node with MPLS services ( L2VPN and VPLS included) supporting an extended temperature range, with 1 Tbps switching per slot and consuming only 100 W !!!!

I have answered that this is not possible to find.

An ASR9006 uses three power supplies of 3.3 KW each and a 24 SFP+ 10GE linecard uses 200 W alone.

In addition the device needs to be rack mounted and requires an air conditioned cabinet/rack to survive.

In your case you can try to combine a router like the C829-2LTE with an industrial ethernet switch like IE 3000 to satisfy most of the requirements.

To support ADSL or HDSL you would need two external rugged modems

However, the total cost of the solution may become too high.

You need an IE 5000 to support 6 GE ports see datasheet

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/switches/industrial-ethernet-5000-series-switches/datasheet-c78-734967.html

IE 3000 can provide 8 FE ports and two GE uplink ports

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/switches/industrial-ethernet-3000-series-switches/data_sheet_c78-440930.html

In industrial networking performance is not the top priority it is more important support of an extended temperature range, support of hostile environment, not needing FANs.

If you put an ISR 4000 inside a cabinet with air conditioning or additional FANs this can be not acceptable or too expensive.

Edit:

even ALU device does not support all requirements

main difference support for ADSL2 one interface and 6 FE ports

https://www.al-enterprise.com/-/media/assets/internet/documents/omniaccess-5725r-datasheet-en.pdf

.

Hope to help

Giuseppe

I don't think there is one in the Cisco portfolio. IR819 & IR1101 can only support only one LTE and you're looking for dual LTE.

Even if one gets an ISR 4K, you can put two (or more) LTE modems.

3 Gbps performance?
