At Cisco, we are committed to delivering an intuitive and secure experience for developers like you, as you integrate our APIs into your web applications, mobile apps, or smart devices. The Cisco API Console is designed to guide you seamlessly through the process of integrating your internal tools, systems, and applications, ensuring simplicity, security, and scalability.
However, I would like to remind you of a significant change: all applications currently registered on the Cisco API Console will be deprecated in the coming months. This affects access to the Cisco PSIRT OpenVuln API and many others. The first announcement was done back in December 2022. To guarantee uninterrupted API access, you will need to register a new application. We have prepared comprehensive instructions for this process, which can be found here: https://apiconsole.cisco.com/docs/read/overview/Migrating_Applications.
Please note that for applications created before March 1, 2023, your Client ID and Secret will expire by September 30, 2023. If you registered an application at https://apiconsole.cisco.com before the aforementioned date and have been utilizing these applications to execute Cisco APIs, you will need to migrate your existing applications. The detailed migration instructions are specifically designed to assist you.
To ensure continued access to Cisco APIs, please follow these three key steps:

Re-Register Applications: Register again for the Cisco APIs that you have been using. This process will provide you with a new Client ID and Secret.

Modify Token Generation URL: Change the URL to the new one - https://id.cisco.com/oauth2/default/v1/token - and generate a token using the application details from Step 1.

Modify API Endpoint URL: Update the domain name from your previous API endpoint URL. For instance, change https://api.cisco.com to https://apix.cisco.com.
Changes to the Cisco PSIRT OpenVuln API Community-Supported Client (OpenVulnQuery):
We have also modified the Cisco PSIRT OpenVuln API Community-Supported Client (OpenVulnQuery) to reflect these changes. The changes are documented in this pull request.
