Inventory duplicates Question

In the Portal inventory duplicates report, how does the portal determine duplicates? I currently see that my duplicates report mirrors my inventory/all equipment report even when different S/N numbers are being collected.

Are you referring to Library>Inventory>Inventory Duplicates or Library>Inventory Insight>Duplicates.

Library>Inventory>Inventory Duplicates will report on items that are being reported in more than one inventory.

Library>Inventory Insight>Duplicates lists the devices that appear more than once in the same inventory. This usually occurs in the case of stacked devices where there is a hierarchy of devices rolling up to a master.

What happens if the devices are in duplicate not switch.

In my case I can see ASA and access points.
