Can anyone share your thought for the above issue.

Hi
I think you should replace the switch. I had a similar issue with a 3560. It keep crashing in the morning every two days or so. Upgrading the ios made things worse.
Thanks
John

I do see the VTP domain name change happening not long before the switch reboots. can you make sure your vtp config is stable? that is the only place i think to start my troubleshooting.
in a normal environment i would not use vtp and make sure it mode transparent.

Please do advise me how do i make vtp stable.

1. If you have crashinfo file(s), please post the last three;
2. Upgrade your IOS to, say, 12.2(55)SE6 or SE7.

I would first of all check "sho vtp status"?
do you know if you are using it or not in your network? and if yes, turning this off may affect your network overall.
crashfile as suggested by leolaohoo may also give you some help. try that out too.

Reboot may have been caused by a faulty power outlet. Your "sh tech" is showing the switch was powered on and not by a crash.
One way of testing is to connect the switch to a UPS. If the switch stays up longer than usual, then it's a power problem at the source.

I would suggest to upgrade the ios this might be related to a bug

The whole cabinet is conneted to UPS but only 2 switches are having this booting issue when all other switches located are fine and not booting up.

We have another switch in same location with similar IOS but the uptime for the same is 1 year not booting up like this switch.

Move the switch that's rebooting to another power outlet. Ensure the other end is secured to the switch.

Hello.
A switch rebooting daily.... if that was a power issue, then the switch either stays up or down.... from my experience a switch reboots for several reasons:
- It crash, a crash could be cause due to either hardware problem or a software problem.
- Because it has memory leak issues.
- Because it experiences high CPU utilization.
I guess you have a NMS system or at least a syslog server configured, have you take at look at the logs before the switch reload?
If so what does it say? please share with us.
if you don't have a syslog server configured, that's very easy and cheap to implement:
1- install kiwisyslog, or tftpd32 in a computer reachable from the switch having problems.
2- go to the switch terminal.
3- go to global configuration moed.
4- type in logging on. --> this turns on logging.
5- logging trap 7
6- Logging host [ip_add of the computer where you installed the syslog app]
*** Make sure that your PC is running the syslog app and also that its reachable from the server.
If even you are still seeing the switch reload and the syslog server doesn't give us any trace to figure out the problem, then I would starting replacing power cables, swap power outlets.... replace the switch.
Regards.
Wilson.
