Cisco Catalyst 9600 models

Hello all,

I hope everyone is keeping well.

We are looking at the Catalyst 9600 as Server farm switch, but was wondering if there any new models are to be announced? The reason for the query is we have around 160 ports in use (dual homed), and we would like to leave some spare for future deployments.

The alternative to the Cat 9600 would be the Nexus 9500 in ACI mode with a Leaf and Spine design. This design may be larger than what is required, and would the Nexus 9500 be managed by Cisco DNA for SWIM, and Configuration changes, or would this be managed with DCNM?

I haven’t heard anything for any new catalyst model.
Nexus 9500 can be in an ACI mode or nx-os mode, so not mandatory to have a spine/leaf design.
DNA is for catalyst world, so dcnm will be the tool to manage nexus switches.
For a server farm, depending on your design and features you need, both can accommodate it.
