Hi,
We have a C3850 switch and I could see 2 vty sessions hanging for sometime now.
sh users
Line User Host(s) Idle Location
1 vty 0 idle 1w5d hp22-840
2 vty 1 idle 2d16h h11-840g2
* 3 vty 2 idle 00:00:00 hp2-840
I tried to use the following command to clear it, however it still hang there.
clear tcp line 1
clear tcp line 2
There is only 1 session ESTAB when I issue the command below.
sh tcp brief
There is another 2 line with (state) CLOSED.
8928CB88 157.165.161.38.23 hp22-840.com.49980 CLOSED
8901FC40 157.165.161.38.80 hp11-840g2.com.64926 CLOSED
I tried to issue the following command line, however after that the session is till there.
clear tcp tcb 8928CB88 clear tcp tcb 8901FC40
Any more ideas how do I get rid of the hang sessions?
Does it have any performance impact in long run?
We want try to avoid to reboot the switch if possible as it is running production.
