Por favor su ayuda con la siguiente inquietud:

Es factible instalar una tarjeta ws-x4712sfp+e en Switch 4507r+e en caliente (hot swap) o es necesario apagar el equipo para realizar la instalación.

See table-1 in this link.  4507R-E does not support this module.
