I have 9200 switch with TtenGigabitEthernet Transceiver Module. Connected through (not sure but will confirm tomorrow) WDM to another switch.

sh inventory

when do "sh interf tenGigabitEthernet 1/1/4"

TenGigabitEthernet1/1/4 is up, line protocol is up (connected)
Hardware is Ten Gigabit Etherne

MTU 1500 bytes, BW 1000000 Kbit/sec, DLY 10 usec,
reliability 255/255, txload 1/255, rxload 1/255
Encapsulation ARPA, loopback not set
Keepalive not set
Full-duplex, 1000Mb/s, link type is auto, media type is 1000BaseLX SFP
input flow-control is on, output flow-control is unsupported
ARP type: ARPA, ARP Timeout 04:00:00
Last input 02:06:19, output 00:00:00, output hang never
Last clearing of "show interface" counters 00:46:44
Input queue: 0/2000/0/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 0
Queueing strategy: fifo
Output queue: 0/40 (size/max)
5 minute input rate 0 bits/sec, 0 packets/sec
5 minute output rate 3000 bits/sec, 5 packets/sec
0 packets input, 0 bytes, 0 no buffer
Received 0 broadcasts (0 multicasts)
0 runts, 0 giants, 0 throttles
0 input errors, 0 CRC, 0 frame, 0 overrun, 0 ignored
0 watchdog, 0 multicast, 0 pause input
0 input packets with dribble condition detected
15565 packets output, 1179815 bytes, 0 underruns
Output 4969 broadcasts (0 multicasts)
0 output errors, 0 collisions, 0 interface resets
0 unknown protocol drops
0 babbles, 0 late collision, 0 deferred
0 lost carrier, 0 no carrier, 0 pause output
0 output buffer failures, 0 output buffers swapped out

There is output but no input. The other side has the same "there is output but no input".

The strange is, when the fiber is connected to a fiber-To-UTP converter, it works. When connecting the fiber port of the converter to the TtenGigabitEthernet of the switch, it works also.

How to find out the problem source?

GLC-LH-SMD

Full-duplex, 1000Mb/s, link type is auto, media type is 1000BaseLX SFP

Referring to this part number, the connection is 1Gig and not a 10Gig.

As mentioned in "Cisco Catalyst 9200 Series Switches Hardware Installation Guide"

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/lan/catalyst9200/hardware/install/b-c9200-hig/b-c9200l-hig_chapter_01.html

4x10G ports that support either 1G SFP or 10G SFP+ modules.

And it works when it is connected to the converter. Show interface is up.

I don't know if it is a matter in the power of the received signal or something else.

I will try a command to display the received power.
