Hi,

That is not the version of IOS you are running.  If you want to see the version you are running, the command is "sh ver" or "sh ver | inc bin" should give you the exact version.

It should look like something like this:

72033-ipservicesk9_wan-vz.122-33.SXI3.bin

Hi,

This is a very old chassis and also sup. It does not appear that there are IOS versions of this chassis and sup.

Oh dear.

That's a legacy Sup2 running CatOS (not Cisco IOS).

1.  The CatOS for Sup2 is no longer being published by Cisco;

2.  If "someone" can share with you any later than what you have, what is the use?  What is the objective for upgrading the CatOS?

I agree with Reza, I think someone needs to make the decision of upgrading the chassis, supervisor card and the line cards.

I'm going to guess even a low to mid-range switch will outperform your 6506.  Time to replace the whole thing.

As Philip suggests, you would probably be better off replacing with a newer low to mid-range switch. If you've been happy with your 6506, a stackable switch might be a suitable replacement.

Hello Philip,

Thanks for your feedback,

as we have another catalyst switch 6509, we want to creat VSS between them, this is why we are looking for best solution ethier to pruchase another one or if it possible to upgarde from catos to IOS, below the version of SW 6509
