Advertise Globally via ILS vs Advertised Patterns

Can somebody tell me if I create an advertised pattern to summarize a group of extensions, do I still have to check the "advertise globally via ILS" button under the e.164 alternate number?

No. If you configure and advertise an E.164 Pattern, and the specific E164 Alternate Number you're looking at is in that range, then you do not have to check the box to advertise the individual E164 Alternate Number. Same goes for Enterprise Alternate Numbers.

That checkbox is there so that if an EAN or E164 AN is not captured by your advertised patterns, then it can be advertised by itself.
