changing unity "synch interval"

i am looking to see how i can change the unity "synch interval" under the enterprise mgr..i was told by tac that u can read this value under the dc/gc tool but to modify u need to use the enterprise mgr....any idea's ..onsite and in a bind :-) thnx!!

I am not sure why someone would want to change these values, and there are certainly side effects to consider when changing these values.

None the less, these values are in the Configuration table within the UnityDb SQL database. There are two of them, one for the DSAD directory monitor which defaults to 2 minutes and one for the DSGC directory monitor which defaults to 15 minutes.

If you open the Configuration table look for the "SynchInterval" property under the column titled NodeName. There will be two properties named "SynchInterval" one for each directory monitor.

You may have to stop and start the AvDSAD and AvDSGlobalCatalog services in order for the change to take affect.
