Cisco Call Manager/Unity Memory CPU reservation on UCS B series

There has been instances where I am installing a Call Manager or Unity on a B series UCS server or a customer VMware environment. When trying to start the servers there is a message stating there are not enough resources. Once I decrease the resource reservation for CPU and memory the server starts.

Asking a data center engineer he says that I should leave the resources as they and let VMware manage the resources. I believe the voice servers should have the resources reserved.

I have checked the docwiki but cant find anything.

Is there documentation that states either way?

If you change the reservation from what the OVA has, you lose Cisco support, the virtualization wiki clearly states that there should be a 1:1 map to vCPU Vs. cores and RAM Vs. vRAM

We DO NOT support oversubscription of resources.
