Dear experts,

Have a nice day to you!

We have 6 CUCM with Cluster, 2 IVR UCCX, 5 Unity Connection and 2 IMPs
CUCMs are integrated with LDAP and User auth is done through AD. CUCM and all of UC servers are on sync with Cisco CSSM.

Now I've task to change the LDAP Server and DNS IP on Microsoft Window Server....

Can someone suggest what is the impact of it and how should i proceed with the change on UC side.

what I believe is i should replace IPs on CUCM for LDAP Servers and resync. is it the correct way? And can have impact on CUCM and UC Servers ASAP.

also how about UCCX servers authentication and Unity Connection part.

can someone guide me here?

Thanks in Advance,

Min

There is no impact on doing a change to the LDAP servers. If you’re using secure LDAP, as recommended, you should use FQDN to define your LDAP servers so that it matches the name in the certificate used by the LDAP (AD) server.

Changing the DNS server(s) will result in a minimal disruption as the network service is restarted in CM. It’s not noticeable and you won’t even loose the SSH connection.
