Hi experts,

I installed two P81E VIC into my C210 M2 server. One at PCIe slot1 and the other one at slot4. I need to set it up for SAN boot with VIC card in slot4, but from CIMC I can only see VIC card at slot1, although I can see the other one at "PCI adapters" tab. By ssh to CIMC:

ucs-c2xx-m2# scope chassis
ucs-c2xx-m2 /chassis # show adapter

ucs-c2xx-m2 /chassis # scope adapter 4
Error: Managed object does not exist, use show command to list valid targets

How can I go to PCI slot4 and change the settings?

I am using fw version 1.4(3c).

Appreciate any pointers.

Hi Brhong

The reason the CIMC doesn't see it is because this server only supports one VIC P81e adapter, and this can only be installed in slot 1 or slot 2. See document below on page 24 read under caveats
