HSI without gatekeeper

Hi,

can we use HSI without a gatekeeper, but have it communicate with an H.323 gateway directly? If yes, how do we need to configure the HSI for that?

I know that HSI works with PGW, but I am refering to the H323 part of the network. Is a gatekeeper required?

Hi,

A gatekeeper is required, so that the HSI knows what IP address to direct the call to.

RAS transactions do not take up much CPU, so even a small gatekeeper can be sufficient for use with a HSI.
