Team,
I will be setting up a cisco wlan for guests and visitors on a cisco 2504 controller and my intention is to use port 3 or 4.
currently the wlc is configured to use ports 1 and 2( no LAG) for the current wlans and will be setting a new interface for this new my guest wlan
if recall correctly i was told there were some limitations to use ports 3 and 4 to tide it to a wlan interface.
is this true and can I use 3 and 4 just like 1 and 2 for wlan interfaces?

Hi,
Ports 3 and 4 are PoE only ports; do not connect access point devices to these ports(you can but its not recommanded). The ports can be used for infra-switch connection using data interface.

the specs don't show limitation of the ports 3 and 4
maybe you refer to the info in the getting started guide that shows it can supply PoE for max. 2 AP's?
With Release 7.4, directly connected local mode APs via two PoE (Power over Ethernet) ports are supported. Directly connected APs were not supported before Release 7.4.
So you can use all 4 ports when connecting to a switch,
