Smart license

IOS-XR : 7.8.2

I want to know about smart licenses.

The command is enable, but when I apply the command below, it behaves as if the license is off.

We are a closed network device and we don't want to use licenses.

I don't want to generate logs every 7 days.

Is there any way to remove logs that occur every 7 days?

It seems to keep checking the license status when not use commands.

Hope you are doing well.

Looks like "license smart flexible-consumption enable" configuration should not be present on NCS540 as FCM is the default licensing model on this platform.

"FCM is enabled by default for Cisco IOS XR Release 7.1.2 and later."

Note: Wait ~24h to have the Out of Compliance status cleared.

I am very confused by this sudden license issue.
I don't want to apply the license and also don't want to bring up the related logs.

The license was purchased in the right quantity.
If I have to activate the licenses with this upgrade, I will have to work on 500 units manually.

I have waited 24 hours and still remain Out of Compliance.

The crux of my question is why is it bringing up the license logs every 7 days when the Collection / Reporting cycle is "Disabled".

Firstly, following my first answer, you are confirming me that you removed the following configuration: license smart flexible-consumption enable ?

 We are observing "Out of Compliance" counter is not changing anymore, being stuck at 78 days and 1 hours. Was it stuck before ?

I'm wondering if the log will be generated again in 7 days.
Let's monitor it if you want ?

I'm understanding you are playing upgrade of your NCS 540 install base to 7.8.2, is that correct ?
May I ask what is the version of your CSSM server ?  It reminds me an issue I had in the past where the server was the issue, and not the router.

I can't remove the above settings.
I have noticed that the timer expires, causing more logs to be generated.
I monitored it for a week without removing it.

In my tests, it happens every 1 week.

My question here is why does it keep generating logs every week or so even though the timer is not decreasing, and I want to stop it.

We are using 7.2.1. and not using the CSSM server.
This is the first time I've encountered a license issue.

First things first, log has changed from your original post:

Following your reply: I can't remove the above settings.
Can you share the error message displayed when you are trying to perform: 

Router(config)# no license smart flexible-consumption enable 
Router(config)# commit

If you have an issue when trying to remove this, IOS XR will display a message and you should be able to highlight the error with "show configuration failed".

If the config remove above is successful, proceed with the following process restart, this should not cause any disruption to your router operations. 

Router# process restart plat_sl_client

Note: Wait ~24h to have the Out of Compliance status cleared.

Strange that you do not have CSSM server, following the timestamp from the first log you've shared, 2022, it seems issue is there since a long time - following the fact you have smart licensing now, maybe referring to the link below will help you.
