New 7800 Series IP Phones

Is the new 7800 Series essentially the next generation of the earlier 7900 Series IP Phones? Can you share any list pricing for the 3 new phones?

Are any of the earlier 7900 Series models still available for new sales?

My understanding is the 7800 series is replacing the 6900 series (similar line/button combinations)

The 7942/5, 7962/5 and 7975 are all still available to order.

Cisco believes these to replace the 6900 series not the 7900 series…maybe in some areas they could. The 8945 is getting closer to replacing 7945/65.

Hello Sandra,

The IP Phone 7800 Series is targeted to deliver cost-effective voice communications for both Midmarket and Enterprise customers and offer increased price/value versus the 6911, 6921, 6941, 6945 and 6961 models in the 6900 Series portfolio. We do anticipate this introduction to largely replace these models identified - except in cases such as US Govt where certain departments must pursue their own compliance certifications of the 7800 Series before they can be added to their price lists.

Key features include wideband audio on all paths (headset, handset, speakerphone), low power (all three models introduced are PoE Class 1 devices), Electronic Hookswitch via Auxiliary Port to untether from the desk using third party headsets that support this feature, larger graphical greyscale displays (3.5") and a new ergonomic design.

Kinda surprised that these phones only have 10\100 switch port. All Phones these days should always have 10\100\1000.

7841 supports four lines ( 10/100/1000 )  -- 365 USD

7861 supports sixteen lines ( 10/100 )     –- 365 USD
