AXL notifications in CUCM 9.1

I know things change in 10, but I still need to support 9 and I have a question.

In the original documentation for AXL Notifications the docs say

Polling interval changes based on # of concurrent registrations, # of concurrent subscriptions for objects, and frequency of changes occurring within the cluster

My question is, how much do they change?  If I start at 5 seconds, when does it start ramping to 300 or more?

AFAIK there is not any available documentation on the exact throttling algorithm - the implementation of the behaviour is internal to the AXL code.

So basically if I need to have a polling interval of a certain period of time, I cannot guarantee it as I would TAPI/JTAPI or CTI (where performance specs are available).

That makes it difficult to write a reliable application, thanks for the answer as always David
