Controll LED on 79xx Phones

Hi,

I am thinking about an IP Phone Service which should be configured as an Service URL on 79xx Phones. The service should switch on/off something.

Is it possible to use the LED of the SURL Button to visualize the current state of the application?

How can I contoll the LEDs of the buttons (like BLF does or like a Line Button does)?

Best regards

Manfred

Hi Manfred,

The IP Phone Service interface does not have access to the line or feature keys to turn the lights on or off.

Hi

thanks for that post since I was looking for the same feature.

As long as there is no support for IP Phone Services is there another option to access the feature keys or lights?

Is something on the roadmap to implement this is in a future version?

Eike

Unfortunately there is no programmatic way to control the phone button LEDs as you describe.  Usually the next-best option is to use the phone display via IP Phone Services XML to display 'status' info like this either on demand (by users accessing the Applications menu) or by using the 'Idle screen' capabilities of IPPS.
