Checking if EM service is alive

Hi,

With CUCM 9.1.1a, I was able to check if the EM service was alive on a CUCM server by issuing the following command:

GET /emservice/EMServiceServlet?xml=<query></query> HTTP/1.1\r\nHost: vs91em.rabobank.nl\r\nConnection: Close\r\n\r\n

If I receive a 200 answer, the service I concluded the service to be alive.

This is useful when you have a load balancer to redirect the EM request to another server.

Since I installed CUCM 9.1.2.SU2a, this request doesn't work anymore and I receive a 500 error message.

How can I fix it ?

Are you using secure HTTP (HTTPS)?

I am not using HTTPS, just HTTP.

Pierre.

I don't have 9.1.2 running right this second, but I can submit an empty query to a 10.0.1 server and get back a response if EM is active... It's an error, but I get a response.

Attached are the 2 Wireshark traces.

The first one is with CUCM 9.1.1 (200 ok)  and the second one is with 9.1(2)SU2a (500 server error).

Pierre.
