According to the legend, almost equation components is defined.  But, There is no idea about how to calculated "Health Score of leaf switch and spine switch". (like below comment)

  • HealthLeafi is the health score of the leaf switch.
  • HealthSpinei is the health score of the spine switch.

So, I want to know that HOW-TO calculate health score on leaf and spine switch. (NOT how to Query health score.) If it provide possible, I need very detailed information such like workflow-diagram, reference, calculation method, etc.

Thanks,

Kris.

Hi Kris,

The “MO Health Scores” section of the document you referenced describes what goes into the leaf and spine calculations, but perhaps this will help:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5haa4MCqiu0

There’s also some discussion on health scores here:

http://lippisreport.com/2014/08/lippis-report-222-cisco-preps-aci-for-general-availability-what-to-expect/

And I’m not sure you can get to this, but it also sheds some light:

https://techzone.cisco.com/t5/Application-Centric/Understanding-Faults-and-Health-Scores/ta-p/784944

Basically, it states that there is no real need to know how to calculate health scores to use them effectively, but there should be a basic understanding of whether faults should have high, medium, low, or “none” fault levels. Though faults in ACI come with default values, it is possible to change these values to better match your environment.

Hope that helps a bit.

Regards,

Dave

Thank you for your kindly reply.

Kris.
