Collaboration 10.5 sandbox: Jabber iPhone does not log in to Phone Services

I can log in with the iPhone Jabber client but it only connects to IM/P and cannot register to CUCM / "Phone Services".  Should this work by default in the Collaboration sandbox or is additional configuration required?

I reserved a Collaboration 10.5 sandbox / username aaron-counterpath.

I re-tested again today but observed the same behaviour.  Should the iOS Jabber client be able to log in using the out-of-the-box sandbox config and the pre-provisioned users?  e.g. user19@abc.inc should be able to log in and call/IM to user20@abc.inc
