Custom My Device/Sponsor portals with API - HA

Hi Folks,

Customer is more than likely going to use REST API to use their customer portal pages for both My Device and Sponsor portals with ISE.

My question is regarding HA with the REST API services. Reading the API guide it appears that the Primary Admin note IP address is what is used for API calls.

Design should include HA for these services and wondering if there is any best practice and examplse from other customer doing custom external portals.

My first thought is to LB to Primary and secondary Admin nodes for port 9060 and their application can point to VIP.

Scott, LB is certainly an option if available. Also the 3rd party tool could be programmed to use primary admin first if no response then use secondary.
