We are using the virtual implementation of the Firepower Mgmt Center. I am testing the backup/restore capability of the system using the built in backup/restore utility within Defense Center. We are on v 6.0.0.1. Here is my scenario:
1) Configured Defense Center
2) Took a backup
3) Blew the VM away
4) Re-deployed Defense Center
5) Restored the bakup
Here is what happened:
1) I lost all my licenses, for DF and the two attached NGIPSv systems I had.
My questions are:
1) Is this a bug or expected behavior?
2) What's the best way of going about getting these re-licensed?
3) Why didn't the backup restore licensing infornation?

You have two options.
1. Change the MAC address of the new Management Center back to whatever the old Management Center had.
2. Rehost the licenses from the Cisco Licensing portal and install them again.

I am not sure if this addresses your situation specifically, but I found a similar issue posted to the Cisco Support Community:

I hope this helps.
